Privacy Policy

SilkNava is built so that alarms, saved scripts, mixed audio, and cloned voice samples stay on your iPhone unless you use a feature that needs the network. We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising tracking. We do not use your content to train public models.

What stays on the device

• Rise / Sleep / Reflect audio files, saved scripts, mix, speech rate, pause, and catalog choices.
• Microphone audio in Voice Studio and clone references — local, not uploaded by default.
• Exact-mode text you typed, until you delete it. Sleep and Reflect Exact may leave the device briefly for cloud voice when credits remain, then we delete that copy.

App updates are designed not to erase that library. Uninstalling the app, using in-app delete controls, or wiping the phone does erase it. We cannot recover local files after that.

What may leave the device

• Anonymous Firebase Auth identifier so entitlements and credit bags can be enforced.
• Purchase / App Store JWS to verify SilkNava Plus and credit packs. We store subscription expiry, product id, and enough of a transaction id to avoid crediting the same pack twice — not your full card number (Apple never gives us that). Apple may also send our servers a signed notice when a subscription renews, expires, or is refunded so remaining credits from that purchase can be removed.
• Theme prompts when you Prepare with remaining credits: the system and user prompt for that job go to our Cloud Function, which calls a cloud language model (currently OpenAI) and returns text. If credits are empty, Theme stays on-device.
• Sleep / Reflect scripts for cloud voice when credits remain: the session text (Theme output or Exact words you typed) goes to our Cloud Function and Google Cloud solely to synthesize that file. Rise voice stays on the iPhone. We delete the script and audio from our servers after your iPhone has the file.
• Credit ledger (counts used, monthly limits, carry from packs, device idfv, credit bag id) so reinstalls cannot mint a new welcome bag easily.
• Limited analytics and crash diagnostics if left on: feature events, durations, catalog ids — never generated script text, Theme notes, display names, or voice audio.
• Optional model packs downloaded for app functionality.
• Shared vibe / Exact / theme copies when you tap Share: a 30-day copy of the wording and settings (voice catalog id, atmosphere, length, pause, speech rate) so the recipient can open the link. We do not store shared audio files or cloned voices. The public web page for a share does not display the wording; only the app fetches the copy. After 30 days we delete it.

Legal bases and sharing

We process this data to provide the app you asked for, to prevent credit fraud, to secure the service, and to comply with law. Processors include Google Firebase (auth, Firestore, functions, hosting, crash), Google Cloud (Sleep / Reflect voice when credits are used), and OpenAI (Theme text when credits are used). They may process data in the United States. We do not sell data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect against serious harm. A share link is unguessable but not a secret: anyone who has the URL can open that copy until it expires.

Retention and deletion

Local data: Settings in the app, or delete SilkNava. Cloud identifier and ledger: see Delete account or email privacy@silknava.com with any user id shown in Settings. Cloud Theme job text and Sleep / Reflect voice files are operational transit only; after your iPhone downloads the voice file we delete the script and audio from our servers. Shared vibe / Exact / theme copies are kept for 30 days, then deleted. We keep purchase proofs long enough to prevent double credit and handle disputes. Cancel Plus separately in Apple ID subscriptions — deletion does not cancel billing.

Children

Not directed at children under 13 (or the local equivalent). We do not knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, and some US states) you may request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal data we hold, or object to certain processing. Email privacy@silknava.com. You may also complain to a supervisory authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Security

We use HTTPS, Firestore rules, and signed App Store receipts for paid credits. No method is perfect. Do not put secrets in Theme notes.

Changes

We will update this page when practices change in a material way and change the effective date.
